99% of people who mention their "internal monologue" move their lips when they read, and this is a verified fact. They also often engage in subvocalization & other low-IQ behaviors such as picturing a small devil & an angel on their shoulders when they have to make a decision.
It's when the muscles of your mouth slightly move when you read, it reduces one's reading speed by 300% or so, it's present in perhaps 95% of the general population. You can test yourself: if you hear what you read in your mind, you probably subvocalize.
