I used to be an ethics fanatic. I used to think that discovering and professing what is right was way more important than the practical considerations of finding out how the world really is. now, ethics tires me endlessly.

there's probably a golden mean to be found between those extremes, but I can't really muster the will to discover it. whenever ethical considerations come into view, I try and kill them as fast as possible.

maybe I've started to drown into my own cynical catholicism, and discovered all ethics is but a very elaborate social fiction. nonetheless, I can't take the posture talk seriously anymore.
