An acceptance of man as a strictly biological question would result in a philosophy rather close to Nietzsche's if life were to be taken as something desirable. Perhaps a more violently political philosophy. The result, politically, would be close to 15th Italy or 5th BC Greece.

Relativism, or nihilism (& their political implications) - generally consequences of the loss of faith in absolute values - are really hard pills to swallow.
