Many are guilty of not doing this at times (including me), but one should force oneself to do things that are uncomfortable. Like lifting weights, the discomfort is breaking down of weak tissues in order to build strong ones. Do not give in to comfort.

Take a scalding hot shower(but do not let the hot water touch your hair) and then turn it all the way cold for at least few minutes before you get out. The feeling of the blood rushing from skin into your core is extremely powerful, you will also increase lung capacity

Have you tried going to a sauna and alternating between cold and hot bath?
