GAME: Where's Nancy?
Can you spot our namesake in this simulated Roman ultra deep field image? While this isn't rocket science, the search for Nancy Grace Roman will be out of this world! If you can find Dr. Roman

Roman has some pretty smart systems to communicate and monitor its position, movements, & health status. Even smarter computer engineers design and build these systems. Meet one of the brains behind the brains of Roman: Sanetra Bailey. http://go.nasa.gov/3rvOX5b

As a Mechanical engineer, one of Sheri Thorn's tasks is to execute tests on the hardware for the Deployable Aperture Cover (DAC) to ensure it is fit for space. The DAC will block sunlight from Roman's view to ensure we can get the BEST photos of deep space.

There’s a bright haze in the night sky, caused by tiny grains from asteroids and comets, called zodiacal dust.
@NASARoman could use exozodiacal dust — the same kind of material in other planetary systems — to study their makeup. https://go.nasa.gov/34YoRjd pic.twitter.com/JuKPJ5sD0QKiitos. Käytämme tätä aikajanasi parantamiseen. KumoaKumoa -

Studying colors can help us learn about our expanding universe. Roman's spectroscopy survey will examine the information in the colors of light that have traveled through space, that will help us see how fast the universe expanded during different eras. https://go.nasa.gov/3wt1qtN pic.twitter.com/JYWZiwvNrM

Discovery Alert! 65 new worlds push the number of exoplanets confirmed by
@NASA above 5,000. This represents 30 years of exploration and discovery by astronomers worldwide using telescopes on the ground and in space. We are living in an age of discovery! https://go.nasa.gov/3IwEagK pic.twitter.com/4bnSHMYvqENASA confirms 5,000 Planets – and CountingUsing powerful telescopes, in space and on the ground, astronomers have confirmed more than 5,000 exoplanets – planets beyond our solar system. But it’s just a fraction of the billions in our galaxy.Näytä tämä ketjuKiitos. Käytämme tätä aikajanasi parantamiseen. KumoaKumoa -

@NASARoman will be able to measure exozodiacal dust — rocky grains left behind by asteroid and comets. Studying this space dust could help astronomers learn how rocky planets form & help future missions find habitable worlds: https://go.nasa.gov/3ijDYa7 pic.twitter.com/NFbqsjAAbh

Exozodiacal dust is rocky grains mainly left behind by asteroids and comets. It scatters a host star’s light, creating a bright haze that obscures our view of orbiting planets.
