, in the early days of Napkin we worked with 3D swarms of thoughts - for us it looked fancy but we didn’t get better usability to connect ore refine notes on 2D screens. Dreaming of notes in AR though 🤤😉

Lol, I have different dreams :) I think, from 20 years of experience, 3D is great for display and affordances but hard for direct interactions. We use our bodies as much as our eyes to drive interactions. As a visual metaphor 3D is very powerful. So it's a balance to find.
