I respect every trans person’s right to live any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them. I’d march with you if you were discriminated against on the basis of being trans. At the same time, my life has been shaped by being female. I do not believe it’s hateful to say so.
@JK_Rowling, you're a cherished part of my kids' lives. That said, this thread baffles me. "My life has been shaped by being female." That's 100% true for trans women as well. And what is "sex"? Is a woman who can't bear children less of a woman?Or a woman with an xxy chromosome?
Trans Women's Lives haven't been shaped by being female. They've been shaped by being male and not conforming with the gender stereotypes that being male conferred upon them.

The struggles of trans women are not the same as the struggles of women.
I am a trans man, my life has been shaped by being female. To say otherwise is to invalidate my existence. Aceptance of who I am and my past is paramount to acceptance of myself. If trans women cannot accept their sex then they are not accepting of themselves fully
