small creators are not only the future of youtube as a platform, they also work just as hard as creators with larger followings. punishing them for not reaching certain subscriber and ~minutes watched~ milestones is ridiculously unfair and shortsighted.

It really is! I remember back in the day the YT Partnership Program was a apply via YT and in turn get benefits such as customise header/thumbnail and monetisation and it was something everyone strived to be a part of but as time progressed they allowed everyone to earn-
I'd love to see a competitor pop up and how they would react once they start losing their creators. Without us, they are nothing.

Whilst I love Twitch, it's catered mainly to Lives with the ability to upload for some. It's a great platform but personally not as convenient as YouTube can be (if YT wasn't broken most of the time lmao)
