    I spoke with about the progress we’ve made at and how ridiculous it is that brands are still unwittingly funding hate speech all over the place.

    Basically, the ONLY way to confirm whether an ad exchange is serving a publisher is by emailing them directly to ask. I’m very comfortable w/ that given that they’re directing huge sums of $$$ to websites THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW.

    I used a combination of Ads.txt and good old fashioned right-clicking to identify OneAngryGamer’s adtech friends. At least 2 major ad exchanges dropped this website after I notified them. Their brand safety tech really should have caught this, not me.

    Ads.txt was designed by to clamp down on counterfeit inventory. The idea is that publishers create this file w/ their Seller IDs so advertisers can ensure they’re not paying knock-off sites. But it’s all self-reported, so it’s like a joke.

    Pubmatic is confirming they do not serve Gateway Pundit. (Thanks Eric!) Ads.txt is the closest thing we have to a public ledger of adtech-publisher relationships, but looks like unscrupulous publishers are using it to pretend they’re legit & working w/ top vendors.

    (1/2) Hi Nandini - I'm director of marketplace quality at PubMatic, and we have had this site blacklisted since Feb of 2018. Keep in mind that we have no control as to the entries a site chooses to publish on their ads.txt.

    One has to wonder... which brands will finally pull their advertising in 2020? If your branded pages aren't getting attention, and customers can delete all their non-FB activity, why on EARTH would you keep risking it?

    Good example of total irrelevance of brand pages to even a . One hour after airing of spot, raindrops of engagement. and are better but a far cry from what brands received 10 years ago!
