I am well aware that one would need the Senate if it ever came to removing someone from office. But we're not there yet. Right now people want to see members of the House do *their* jobs, not give up at the starting line because *other people* might give up at the finish line. 3/

So when people talk about the "political cost" of initiating an impeachment inquiry, it would be good to accompany that with discussion of the political cost of NOT doing so. Whatever the former, I'm confident that the latter is substantial. /end
