reading some of the fanciful claims of sci-hub accessing student grades on the liblicense mailing list, I'm struck by how simple it would be for publishers to minimise the threat of sci-hub: just stop publishing PDFs.

or just do something like archive.vn does. They just "run" the website for a while, then save the resulting DOM. Like the Ctrl+S in your browser, pretty much.
