Currently discourse is that PS2 Resi 4 was night and day different to GCN.
Honestly, the shite I see on here. GCN version obviously the superior version but it's hardly worlds apart.

I find many many games today to be immature and full of horrible clichés and irritating characters. It's nothing new. Many pedestrian stories and ideas and it feels worse due to the improvement in visuals and with full voicing.

Snatcher is a bad example because Kojima can't do stories. He does amazing action and scenes but stories are a mess.
Now plenty of mature games out before the last ten years. Absolutely loads. Often only the translation let's them down when coming from Japan.

The same can be said about a lot of other games too, especially from around the PS2 to the PS3/Xbox 360 eras.

I've clocked up 3 hours of playing time on Pacific Rift and the game is dipping into overly repetitive territory. Still very good but it's starting to feel like a checklist of racing rather than a single player that is genuinely rewarding. Such an issue with modern racers.

Good morning. There is no crisis of asylum seekers invading Britain in dinghies. Transgender people are not causing anyone any discernible problems. There are however very real & desperate crises in cost of living, wages and a broken economy that they don’t want us to talk about.

I'm not blown away by the Resident Evil 4 demo. Sound design is less inspiring than the original and everything else feels familiar. It's obviously very good but it's not on my must buy list now.
