  7. I find that when your mind is properly engaged in a worthwhile curiosity or stimulating puzzle, you can go days on end and forget the outside world even exists. A lot of social insecurity and anxiety is just boredom

The arguments against Billie Eilish astute observation of how toxic the rap industry has become by pressuring artists to produce music that reinforces stereotypes, come down to 1 cuz, . . art 2 she’s white so she should be quiet Do I have this stupidity accurately described?

In the 80/90’s we had; NWA, Mobb Deep, Snoop, UGK, Biggie, DMX But we also had Public Enemy, BDP, Queen Latifah, X Clan, Tribe both types of rap were equally as popular with the same audience creating balance. There’s no balance today, and that’s because there’s a sales model

Rap is a beautiful art form that’s told so many incredible stories in only the way it can. Its a shame in the last 10 yrs it’s been reduced to “I’ll shoot you, look at my women, look at my cash, take these pills”. It’s not that these messages weren’t there before but it’s 90% now

Our young black boys are not pill popping, uzi carrying, school dropouts, who can do cool dances and want to scandalize your daughters. As the music industry portrays them. They are scholars, athletes, community organizers. They are good kids. Billie Eilish was right. Period

Billie Eilish (correctly) observed that most artists she knows who rap about murder and treating women poorly don’t actually live like that, and *SHE* is receiving backlash. Why? Cuz she’s white? So how dare she push back on the toxic stereotypes of black kids we all love

It always cracks me up the most vocal voices on social justice are people who’ve had a sheltered life. It often shows in what they choose to be most vocal about. There’s a ton of irony in their outspoken rants stemming their lack of self awareness. Many become accidentally racist

Ja Morant is a great talent. Love watching him play, but firing shots at OG’s on Twitter when he could have texted Iggy, makes him seem very childish. Secondly, he seems to think he has already arrived from half a good rookie season. Win your own trophies before popping off

Boyz in the Hood is one of the best messages about manhood and fatherhood that has ever been put on film
