So, back when I first realized I wasn't cis, I initially identified as gender fluid. Over time, I thought about it and realized that's not really me. But y'know what? My identity was just as valid then as it is now.

That's part of why, common empathy aside, it really frustrates me when I see folks shitting on non-binary people. It doesn't describe me well now, but it certainly did then. And for me, personally, it was really good to have that space to place myself as I learned and grew.

I dunno. This feels really navel-gazey. Probably not my most focused thread. Point here is you should, instead of trying to dissect other people's identities, just believe them when they tell you who they are.

i relate to this a lot. i initially identified as bigender, because i'd experienced some euphoria for my agab. i don't anymore, but it was definitely real. people really need to understand that the trans experience isn't always straightforward.
