I don't see how this good for climate change. Each customer only has to pay an extra $40/yr for fossil free energy to continue to be produced. Means more natural gas is going to be utilized instead by a lot of people who might still think that is clean energy for the climate.

Nat gas (which will be used along with wind to replace nuclear) is not very safe. Along with it's contribution to 400,000 deaths from climate change, there are all the deaths pipeline explosions etc... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pipeline_accidents …
