At first, we had a few small wild birds visiting regularly, and it was good. It took a while to deplete the feed, and it finally ran out when I took an unexpected trip to South Africa.
I refilled it, and added some variety in the shape of bird friendly peanuts, on my return.

I've recently installed two bird feeders in our garden. And by recently, I mean about a month ago. I filled them up with some wild bird seed, hoping to attract some new friends to the garden.
It took the birds about two weeks to really trust the feeders...
