The new #YouTube Partner Program policy only further hurts smaller channels instead of helping them grow. A channel I have had monetized for years with over 600 subs and almost 400k views is now no longer eligible thanks to the change. @YouTube @YTCreators

Smaller channels can still grow–monetization doesn't impact how videos appear in search or how they're promoted/recommended across YouTube. Also, creator features and tools like custom thumbnails, live streaming, etc are still available.
It is not even about the money at this point as much as my pride in what I made so far has lessened as well as my trust in you when you associate small channels with community issues #youtube #YouTubePartnerProgram
