The new #YouTube Partner Program policy only further hurts smaller channels instead of helping them grow. A channel I have had monetized for years with over 600 subs and almost 400k views is now no longer eligible thanks to the change. @YouTube @YTCreators

Smaller channels can still grow–monetization doesn't impact how videos appear in search or how they're promoted/recommended across YouTube. Also, creator features and tools like custom thumbnails, live streaming, etc are still available.
@TeamYouTube since your users are so outraged by this policy change, why not change it back or adjust it? At least remove the subscription requirement or lessen it. #youtube
