I still own one! But the owl... the red status LEDs... the red function keys. The weird perforated bit to the left which kids always stuck their finger through... revealing a glimpse of the keyboard PCB and space for a ROM socket

I spoke to original BBC micro keycap manufacturer, Comtec, who became Signature Plastics in WA. They still have tooling to rerun a doubleshot set in the same ‘gorton modified’ style... HT

I am aware of that too - have many SP sets here including the DSA Retro set and spoke to one of their employees at the last Seattle keyboard meetup :) Now if only they can get PBT spacebars retooled..

Its cheaper sibling - the Acorn Electron - is more interesting from a keyboard perspective. Despite being a cheaper machine the keys are both doubleshot AND side-printed.pic.twitter.com/fttg2mIo9f
