i made a google doodle a few years ago—which meant my code ran on the homepage. sure, my tabs and intentionally missing semicolons were undone by the minifier, but you know what remained? my native prototype overides! [evil laughter!]

I’ve seen more of that kind of approach in front end production at e.g. Medium than I expected. Not for cool shit but for latency and maintenance and other eng considerations. It really surprised me.
