No, not really. I am curious to try Dvorak, and I’ve been writing on a Japanese keyboard recently, but that’s more cerebral – I have been lucky in the RSI department.

What’s the reason you’re curious about them…?

Thanks a bunch, Marcin! (And while I’m thinking of it, if by any chance you might have any tips for dealing with RSI, I’m all ears.)

From what I read and heard, these are the levers to pull: - keyboard layout - keyboard shape, wrist rest, etc. - standing desk/posture - diet - active lifestyle - stress - supportive people at work - supportive people at home (not supportive about RSI, but in general)

Just like diet, small adjustment in many areas can be more effective than one big change on one. Also: it’s not often wrists or only wrists; often it’s arms and shoulders.

I forgot about: - keyboard feel (how heavy the keys are, how hard they take to press, how far down they go, etc.) (Also, mouse/trackpad is 50% of the equation.) Hope this helps!

(Also, investing in learning to touch type 100% correctly if you don’t already.)

Do I know anyone who’s using—or has tried—a non-Qwerty keyboard layout, such as Colemak, Dvorak, or Norman?
• Do you think it was worth the effort to switch to?
• How long did it take you to get used to it?
