Ah, yeah, sorry, I read you incorrectly. I remembered up down and space. I thought you implied no arrow keys at all.
Oh sorry, I just meant that the II+ had only left- and right-arrow keys. No arrows on the Mac does seem like a very bad idea (as does the soldered-in limit of 128K of RAM)
I guess in 1983-84 I used a computer with no arrow keys, but it at least had a standard ESDX diamond convention
