Very interested in you elaborating. Do you mean the disappearing Mac scrollbars that only get thick as you hover over them?

@mwichary. I mean the default scrollbars in GNOME 3 in Debian GNU/Linux, in (at least) Firefox and Evince. Chromium is slightly wider but still not enough IMHO. But the former two are really narrow, like ~10px wide (I just used a pocket microscope on my monitor to count). -
And they don't get wider when you hover over them, FWIW. Even if they did, that wouldn't be a real solution -- what I need is target width to aim for, not a target that only gets big enough *after* I've landed on it
