Wait... what? You’re directly messaging @Twitter @design to tell them to change their product because you found an obscure use case they don’t support, when a hundred other platforms could have handled it more elegantly? </productmanager>

I really thought Twitter had an opportunity to make its own Medium, ie allow users to attach full-length rich-formatted articles. Since they've instead doubled down on threads, these issues are important to get right.
-
The way people participated and added to my thread was wonderful and unlike any other platform. I retweeted many of their comments; I was considering quote-tweeting instead (inside the main thread), but was worried about the length. Something to try for next time.

I remember the days when opening a tweet thread meant launch it on it's own page. These days it always happens in an layer overlaid on your user profile page. My 2¢ is that displaying this long thread over your current timeline loads every tweet at least twice (I'm in the Web UI)
-
yes, the layer sucks extremely. Also, all photos, are compressed into a narrow column, makes 24" screen into 10". And i haven't figured out how to read people's comments, or if i do, can't get back to the point i was.

Other trouble I had was that reading responses to one tweet required twitter to load the entire thread which was very slow.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
