That’s a good question, actually! My guess is that Apple didn’t differentiate the keys for aesthetic reasons (with one attached exception). I wonder if why IBM decided to do it is written down anywhere.pic.twitter.com/ezMRufxUUq

It’s curious that Apple had this aesthetic signature all to itself for so long. Good for them! (I was paying the Apple tax through the 1990s for such privileges though!)
