It was past record players for me, but I opened up cassette players to figure them out, and then rewired them with my dad’s soldering iron.

I connected extra two to add “stereo,” and even added a switch to toggle it on and off. Holy shit, that was possibly my first UX work.

When I got the CAV remaster of the original Tron I think I freeze-framed through almost all of the "in-computer" shots. My LD Player even had a jog wheel on the remote to make this easier!

Yeah, they also had a frame counter. Apparently film buffs loved that. Criterion started on LD, right?
