iOS 11 “smart punctuation” converts dash-dash to an en-dash (–). Am I the only one annoyed by this? I think it should be an em-dash (—).

Interesting; makes sense. The downside of using two for an em, of course, is that you can’t write en dashes.

You can still do it manually and we would still substitute them when appropriate (e.g. number ranges).

But the assumption was that you otherwise never want to mix emdashes and endashes. Fees Apple went for a different, more literal scheme.

That scheme comes from the world of typesetting, but I'm not sure if this feels right here.
