Google Maps placelists are v limited in how you can annotate - you can't even add labels that others can see :/ I may have to go beyond them

I always wished this was integrated with Google Maps as a layer of some sort. They are going a different way, now, with a wish list etc.

Have you seen all the extra features you get in the Google Maps mobile apps if you "contribute" enough to unlock them?

I'm the kind of person who edits Wikipedia in his free time, and I love maps. Would jump onboard way sooner.

I feel a slight twinge of guilt that my edits aren't going to OpenStreetMap, but I do spend so much time in Google Maps on my phone
