I wrote a font editor for the Atari 800. Unpublished, lost on an unreadable 5.25" floppy.
Wrote another one in Tcl/Tk for bdf fonts. Still available on the web but nobody ever used it besides me.
Making a bitmap font is a great introduction to type. Much more accessible than vectors…
