@josefow Also, no scrolling necessary to see the big picture (or smarter scrolling, e.g. with first train fixed).

@josefow 3. Easier to understand what's going on. Not sure if BART’s "12,32 mins" is better than just listing two trains chronologically.

@josefow 4. Visual consistency with how the lines are represented elsewhere (BART uses names and colors; signage doesn't use colors).

@josefow 5. Signs look nicer and are more integrated with the style/brand/typography of the system, map, trains, stations.

@josefow (You can feel as a passenger that the entire system works together and is there to help you.)

@josefow 6. Signs are context-aware if need be. If a short train arrives and you're far away, that particular sign could say "move forward."

@josefow Or, if for example we know people are confused about which platform to take, signs can point to other platforms.

@josefow 7. More info about (non-terminal) destinations or generally useful knowledge, e.g. "Change at MacArthur."

@josefow Or correcting common mistakes "This train does not go to SFO."

@josefow That's the things I could remember. Will share more if I think of something, and if this is useful.

@josefow @mwichary I actually prefer the OLD sign in the example photo on the bart site because the most important info is the clear focus.

@josefow @mwichary I'd suggest *always* showing the next arrival, even when scrolling additional information.

@mwichary @josefow Also the bad line breaking when the train is arriving: "PITTSBURG BAY" on one line, "POINT" on the second
