My friend and I walked through the (newish) Crosstown Trail in San Francisco today. I would recommend it! You get to see a few parts of the city that are normally a bit out of the way. https://crosstowntrail.org/ pic.twitter.com/GFv5Hzh1up

(Now I’m seriously thinking of coming up with my own reverse crosstown trail that goes diagonally the other way.)
First version of Reverse Crosstrail! It has a lot of small places that I love, and skips a few obvious big ones (Twin Peaks, Alamo Square).
The point where Crosstown Trail and Reverse Crosstrail cross is called Crosstown Crosstrail Crossing.
Test walking the Reverse Crosstrail today. Woke up early for this. Wish me luck!pic.twitter.com/ioHJPDnUb1
I did it! It ended up being the same length as the official Crosstrail, but with a Burj Khalifa’s worth of climbing – although I definitely took a few detours and extra hills.pic.twitter.com/LziviUAMcb
Amazing! I recently had some friction with walking from Stern Grove to Lake Merced to Fort Funston; lots of ginormous boulevards that were hard to cross. I'll have to study your route for tips
