My friend and I walked through the (newish) Crosstown Trail in San Francisco today. I would recommend it! You get to see a few parts of the city that are normally a bit out of the way. https://crosstowntrail.org/ pic.twitter.com/GFv5Hzh1up

Test walking the Reverse Crosstrail today. Woke up early for this. Wish me luck!pic.twitter.com/ioHJPDnUb1
I did it! It ended up being the same length as the official Crosstrail, but with a Burj Khalifa’s worth of climbing – although I definitely took a few detours and extra hills.pic.twitter.com/LziviUAMcb
My timing ended up working out well! Here is an opening shot (Telegraph Hill) juxtaposed with a closing moment (Fort Funston).pic.twitter.com/mkkuiA2xoJ
Observations: More old-city vibes, also avoiding popular areas, nicer opener, similarly good closer (amazing that SF has such great four corners).pic.twitter.com/d1ro3vOCuz
Loved to include and revisit bunch of favourite secret spots.pic.twitter.com/etQtyDqtJY
Wrote down some “bugs” as well and will try to make an official map at some point!pic.twitter.com/DVs8oXPp96
(Notes to self: Apple ProRAW is buggy. Also, in the future, maybe don’t do two 18-mile hikes in a week.)pic.twitter.com/kiVDhzBFBG
Is that at Golden Gate Heights or Mt. Sutro... I get confused with multiple versions of CrossTown Trail or similar, some of which take Twin Peaks.
Near GGH at 14th Avenue – actually not a point but a small stretch of overlap. At least in the current version!
Would that the crossing were at the macaroni restaurant Mac Daddy, named for one of the artists in the duo Kriss Kross. Sadly, that restaurant is far from the center of town and would make for awkward trails.
