I have had the urge to gather up some colleagues and storm the Figma headquarters to demand a more sensible UI. You with me?

I’m from Figma headquarters :·) and listening. Say more? We’ll fix the tabs in the app soon.

For reals? Okay.... I want to be able to paste a new image into my shape without losing the Layer Style (in this case a gradient) but cannot figure out how to do it... IMO that should be the default.pic.twitter.com/PUXuHaFsH9

Makes sense – if you have more than one image fill, what would be your expectations on pasting an image?

That it would paste into only the selected image and all other layer effects are untouched.

Oh and BTW, it took a long time and the help of my slack channel to figure out where to click to even select a layer style! TBH, it seems like a perfect place for a contextual menu (right click)... But maybe I’m just clinging to old conventions.

We’re working on that independently! And filed the earlier improvement/bug you reported – thanks!
