Hey, @figmadesign, any chance you could support using the ESC key to navigate to the parent of the current selection?
In Sketch, using the ESC allows you to navigate through layers when you're working on complex projects. This functionality makes you workflow super fast.

We are considering allowing keyboard shortcut customization which might be your best bet. In the meantime: ⏎ = enter selection ⇧⏎ = exit selection ⇥ = next sibling ⇧⇥ = previous sibling ESC = exit context :–)

Rasmus pleaseeeeee. Keyboard shortcut customization would be so huge! Would also unlock a whole class of plugins. I’m thinking of some new ones internally that would really meaningfully make eng design collaboration better

@rsms!@zhayitong, say more about the plugins you’re envisioning?2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -
Hi! So basically this is any plugin whose value prop is something like “do a small to medium sized operation faster”
@autoflowplugin is one. Another one I’m thinking of is a custom component inserter that reads from our design system doc site2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -

What keys would you bind those to, if you know? (Doesn’t have to be a perfectly thought out answer – just curious how you think about this.)

Haven’t thought about it a ton and I’m not at my computer so I can’t see existing shortcuts, but: Autoflow: Cmd + shift + F Component inserter: Cmd + P (like VScode) or Cmd + shift + O (like Xcode)

Anyway. Thank you. This is really helpful. Send more use cases for custom keyboard shortcuts if you ever think of any, please.
