they're not in a good place on the keyboard for this, but it would be cool if they were modifier keys like 'Red Shift', 'Green Shift', etc, so you type a word in different colors by holding down that modifier while typing, for something like colorForth where color has meaning

This is actually interesting also because I wonder if there was ever a word processor when holding Bold key while typing a word would make it bold. I bet this must have existed once in the 1970s somewhere.
