@mwichary Btw - just going to mention something to you while I see it.
When you talk about morse code... things like BK, SK are written with a line above them.
That symbolizes that they are a continuous code.
EG: -...-.- and ...-.-
Others like CQ, HI, 73 etc are separate.

Correct, they are symbols in their own right... not B followed by K. The line above when typed is symbolic of “this is one character”. I can find you a primary source for this later this evening. But again, some are not like CQ, sent as two separate characters.
