Hi @figmadesign would you consider adding better support for controlling the direction of content using Auto Layout? By default, Figma decides the direction based on the constraint setting. There is a workaround, but it makes it a bit fiddly to manage.pic.twitter.com/75zLiZlOha

In my particular use case, it should be possible to use a workaround which is to add a wrapper frame to act as a relative location for the instance to move from. But I believe there is a bug with how auto layout works with different constraints and also rotated objects.

I had similar issues with some components yesterday. I’ll put together some examples of nested components where it seems to break down and ignore constraints.
