• Usually I pick typeface for a project, after confirming that it has the required glyphs. • To find & get the right glyph, (As you know our keyboard layout sucks
) eg: ∆ ˚ ¬ Ø
• Some typeface has built in icons, ornaments. I can easily find & pick those easily from glyphs. -
• Picking Swashes, Stylist alternate and Discretionary ligatures can made easy if we can access the glyphs set. • The Glyph-set acts almost like a specimen copy of the typeface and hence I think, it is no-brainer!
