If you were a designer working concurrently on designs for iOS and web, I think it would be really confusing to see the rendering change under you, or the UI become a facsimile of the platform (a.k.a. https://aresluna.org/line-height-playground/ …).

Lastly: web doesn’t do some things all that well text-wise, and I don’t just want to perpetuate them. ;·)

Perhaps this is a greater discussion, but I feel like there should definitely be an onus on the designer to learn how type will be rendered across platforms (ie reality)!
