I can't believe Unicode doesn't have this "r.", it's an outrage!

@babelstone@evertype.] One reference in Unicode: http://unicode.org/Public/MAPPINGS/VENDORS/APPLE/KOREAN.TXT … Mac OS Korean had A-Za-z fullstop apparently. They get mapped to Private Use + ASCII sequences. EG: 0xA96C -> 0xF860+0x0072+0x002E # LATIN SMALL LETTER R with FULL STOP2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -

For a period of time German typewriters had a Hakenkreuz key and an SS emblem key. While "r." can be represented by a sequence of characters, U+0FD5 ࿕ RIGHT-FACING SVASTI SIGN isn't at a 45° angle, though one could ligate two sigels ᛋᛋ I suppose. http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread.php?28968-Nazi-Typewriter …

A bit of research (and I'm not going to go further here) following on comments in the link I have above suggests that Hakenkreuze may not have been on such typewriters, but the SS runes certainly did: http://www.bbc.co.uk/ahistoryoftheworld/objects/m3IrG0rzTk-A0mtWWSPP0g …

There were original typewriters with either or both; there were also many fakes in most recent times as the demand skyrocketed. (sigh)
