Maps of the East Bay Electric Lines/Interurban Electric Railway (e.g. https://www.flickr.com/photos/walkingsf/8146034253/ …) suggest stops at Shellmound Tower, West Oakland Jct, 26th St Jct, even "West Jct" on the bridge itself. Were these actual stops or just informational labels? @enf @AAAArch @ChrisArvinSF

This pic shows a stop on the Bay Bridge, for Yerba Buena Island. At the end of the platform is a staircase to reach the island. And, here's a 1942 Pan Am job listing mentioning Key System trains stopping at Yerba Buena Island. Replying to @chrisarvinsf @threestationsq and
From an online forum: "The main purpose of the station was to serve passengers, mainly military, that needed to access the island or nearby Treasure Island" And: "My dad was at Treasure Island in 44...We would meet him here when he got some leave." https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?11,4294296 …

Thanks. It is great to see this picture! I had the impression from timetables like https://www.flickr.com/photos/walkingsf/4368373259/ … that Hollis Street was the first stop in the East Bay

That photo is so good and kind of a ghost station!
