No and yes. Communication is difficult and expensive. So we must focus on communicating what matters. At some point, it no longer pays to do the communication. And, despite the best efforts of designer, many features cannot be self evident.

But also, the ridges serve the purpose shown in the video. But do we know they were designed for that? They might have been designed solely so it wouldn’t stick to a countertop and her use could be accidental. Just checking.
