As an addition to my recent commentary on letting your old tabs go, this is a pretty good tool for helping keep context safe. https://workona.com/

Oooh. I wrote a 20% version of that project once (funnily enough called Workspaces), but this feels so much more slick! Excited to check it out. I hope there’s no manual saving of individual tab sets? Just create a workspace and you can close and reopen it with one click?

Yes, and there are even keyboard shortcuts to switch between sets. One thing that you might need to get used to is that it opens up a separate window to keep your content around after you switch, but you can turn that off if you're OK with losing caching.

Ooooh. Fascinating. Didn’t think of that way to solve that problem! I wonder how it scales if you have many tabs inside each set, too.

@mwichary Workspaces open all of the tabs in a suspended state initially. They are only loaded into memory once you click on them. You can additionally set it to only keep your most recent 20 tabs and memory if you’re on a low-memory device, so it scales quite well.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
