And here are the abandoned streetcar entrances.pic.twitter.com/Dq5rTKCW8h
Ah yeah! Forrest Hill is my fav stop, too. For a good time, you can head up to the SF history collection on the 6th floor of the library and check out O'Shaughnessey's Tunnel plans. Their copy has hand-penciled budget figures, too.pic.twitter.com/VP8DAEvXIY
Ah, sweet! I actually might do that even tomorrow.

Nice! Here's the call info for convenience. Cheershttps://sfpl.bibliocommons.com/item/show/1406978093 …
Already loving the title.
Beautiful! I have a few lower-quality scans from the DPW collection until you make it to the library: https://www.flickr.com/photos/walkingsf/15584847429/in/photostream/ … https://www.flickr.com/photos/walkingsf/15151260063/in/photostream/ … https://www.flickr.com/photos/walkingsf/15770650805/in/photostream/ … They sure didn't pay as much attention to aesthetics when building the 1970s temporary portals
I might be dense – what are the 1970s temporary portals?
The fenced-off ones that you posted pictures of above, which pass through the old Eureka Station platforms. The original portal was in the middle of the street and removed for Castro Station construction

Aaah, got it! Thanks.
Do you know how to find photos of the original tunnel configuration?
Yeah, @OpenSFHistory has you covered! Here's a link to their map location: http://opensfhistory.org/maps/
