Most of @LeicaGeosystems’s GIS handhelds have become more screen-based, but this is very durable and robust (and expensive) gear, so the keyboarded versions will still be about for years to come. (Wholly different company, btw)

looks like a RX1200 remote terminal for a 1200 series Total station - a so-called 'robot' tachymeter meaning it has servomotors that turn and scan to find the operator holding the survey reflector so you don't need two people anymore to measure survey angles
