(Another common UI failure is that most of these make it impossible to distinguish whether a “forever stream” finished its run, or whether it’s still loading, or whether there’s an error. Could handling this be supported better by the browser chrome itself?)
(Example: how can I quickly scroll down somewhere far without needing to wait for everything intermediate to load… but also without the scroll elevator being tiny.)

i) Lastly, going far down in a stream can sometimes represent work. How can I make sure that that work is not wasted if e.g. the tab crashes and needs reload. I guess support for URL fragments maybe?
