And some artifacts of railroad bureaucracy.pic.twitter.com/PsmnRPvk78
That’s it! Check it out if you have a chance – it’s a Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola, CA. (Wish I could talk to my grandpa Kazimierz about all of this.)pic.twitter.com/d7Bn0ltWaz – at Western Pacific Railroad Museum

This was otherwise an unexpected coda to a day that started with me just wanting to hike around some beautiful lakes in a place recommended by a complete random stranger some time back. you had an absolutely perfect day! i'll have to remember that museum next time i'm in California. kinda don't want to look up where it is in case i narrowly missed it during my 2014 road trip
*looks it up* *cries* Awww maaaaaan i was right around there and i had no idea
Ah, sorry! But that happens all the time everywhere, you just need to accept it. :·)
Yeah! it was a wonderful trip in any case. Trout fishing & astronomy. i stayed across from the Union Pacific tracks where they ran along the Truckee River so i did get to see lots of trains :)
Ah, that’s also amazing.
