Oh my God, I remember salivating over these fonts.pic.twitter.com/hH46PA7Mhm
Ah, yeah, Smurfs were pretty huge in Poland then. But just don’t you forget, what also matters is TANKS.pic.twitter.com/4Y0Tar4SuT
Okay, the humour got better and even a bit subversive later. Here’s one that says “Atari’s program is our program,” which is a pretty good satire of political ineptitude of that time.pic.twitter.com/J7wWzanXVi
Some of it got pretty dark, too. (Last one says “You wanted to trick me!”)pic.twitter.com/5LJ8m5WqyC
“WTB: a good software package for school education, for cheap.” HAHAHAHAHAHAA, amazing.pic.twitter.com/ija44gty7g

Oh, wow, @bitterman59 solved it via a combination of OCR and Excel.
This is beautiful. Fascinating that someone wanted to make the distinctive ZX Spectrum font look more like Atari or Commodore! I wonder what’s the story there…https://twitter.com/Bitterman59/status/1002282759920996353 …
Marcin Wichary added,
Yes, some of those letters are identical to the 8-bit Atari, but others are off by quite a bit. I thought it was cool that the ZX Spectrum could do character manipulation like this.
My favourite example of character manipulation is this one (starts at 13:40):https://vimeo.com/209179824
