I don't think cellphones will be around long enough for us to get to the point where we're just shoving phone guts into whatever housing we want. Nor is that practical since the shape of a phone is the way it is for a reason. Screens really limit hardware if you think about it.

This is the one radio I own. It's called the Beachcomber. It has a cubby for sunblock storage, a Secret Stash™ slot in the back for storing cassettes (or whatever) and a Tan Timer™. It's excellent except that it requires four C batteries which are remarkably hard to find.pic.twitter.com/43HasASCaf
