I don't know why we are arguing about busing when we have this lunatic in the White House but I just got off the phone with mom who was bused during high school and she hated it and she told me that there were a lot of black people who also opposed busing.

Busing was poor people shifting across town. But METCO, busing black children from city schools voluntarily to suburbs - actually is 1 of the most successful ed programs in MA & it's still needed. Which itself demonstrates how we deal w/education, housing & racism (i.e. not well)
